Disney Cotino Bay: What Luxury Residents Need to Know

Disney Cotino's Bay will be the largest Crystal Lagoons bay in the entire United States once finished! Disney has started filling the bay with water and they are expecting it to be full just in time for the new homeowners to move in around January 2025. Many people wonder how you can have a large body of water in the desert and how can that be sustainable? I think you will be very surprised once you find out how advanced the technology behind this water feature is and how eco friendly it actually is!

What's great about Cotino Bay is that homeowners and the public will have access to enjoy it. Homeowners will be able to access the bay with an Artisan Club Membership. The Artisan Club Membership is a voluntary membership to homeowners in Disney Cotino. The public will have access by purchasing a day pass at the Town Center. From what I've heard they expect the public beach to have a capacity of around 700 people. The private and public beach will have access to different types of watercraft like stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

Cotino Bay Details:

• Water Source: The bay will be filled with water from an aquifer beneath Cotino’s 618 acres.
• Depth: It will be 42 inches deep at the shallowest point, going up to 12 feet out in the bay.
• Water Efficiency:The bay uses 30 times less water than a golf course. There will be two wells on-site to make this happen.
• Chemical Use: They will be using only a fraction of the chemicals needed for a normal pool.
• Evening Lighting: LED lights will illuminate the bay in the evening for a stunning look.
• Beaches: The community will have five separate private beaches. There will be one public beach that anyone can enjoy with the purchase of a day pass.
