Indian Wells, California, is a thirty-minute drive from Palm Springs. The city was incorporated in 1967, and it is one of the most well-maintained cities in the Coachella Valley. The city is well known for having many famous residents such as late President Dwight Eisenhower and Bill Gates taking up residence here. The town in total is 14.6 square miles and is one of the smallest cities in California. The city is next to Palm Desert and La Quinta.

Indian Wells is conveniently located to enjoy all that the desert has to offer. The city itself has one shopping center and a few restaurants to enjoy, but living in Indian Wells gives you close access to Palm Desert’s El Paseo dining and shopping, as well as the shopping in La Quinta. The perks of living in Indian Wells is that the city is quiet compared to the rest of the Valley, and most of it is residential gated communities. The town is known for its affluent community and private country clubs.

If you like to hike, you're close to Palm Desert’s, Cross Hike and Bump, and Grind. The McCallum Theatre is a short drive away in Palm Desert, with shows playing all year long. The golfing in Indian Wells is world-class with country clubs like Toscana, The Vintage Club, The Reserve, Desert Horizons Country club, and Indian Wells Country Club. Living in Indian Wells is perfect for someone who wants everything at their fingertips but also enjoys their privacy and tranquility.
 

Events

Tennis fans will love living in Indian Wells, with an international tennis tournament right in your backyard. The BNP Paribas Open is an international tennis tournament that people come from around the world to see. The tennis tournament is one of the major stops on the ATP tour. For golfers, The Desert Classic tournament takes place in La Quinta, and it is one of the stops on the PGA Tour. At the Desert Classic, you will see greats like Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. Palm Springs also has an international film festival in January, a film noir festival, and an American documentary film festival.

If that all wasn’t enough, there are Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals that take place in Indio at the Empire Polo Fields!
