Securing Your Dream Home: Inside Look at Disney's Cotino Phase 1 Builders and Pre-Sale Guide

I'm sure by now you have seen Disney released the news regarding the three builders they will be partnering with on Phase 1 for Cotino. I wanted to give you some information regarding the builders and what homes I think they will be building. Lastly, at the end I have some information on pre-sale appointments.

 

Woodbridge Pacific Group is a good builder that I've helped many clients purchase homes from. They have done many projects here in the desert such as PGA West Signature, and they are currently developing homes at University Park in Palm Desert. I can see Woodbridge developing smaller single family homes and possibly some attached homes in the first phase.

 

 

Shea Homes is a reputable builder as well that has done projects in the Palm Springs area such as Trilogy at the Polo Club. Disney stated this, "The initial sales launch will include a very limited inventory from Shea Homes with some in the Longtable Park residences for adults 55+." Most likely Shea Homes will be developing part of the 55+ section in Longtable Park in the first phase.

 

Davidson Communities are a builder located out of La Jolla, California. They have a reputation for being a high-end builder. They mostly specialize in estate- style homes and luxury developments. I can see Davidson developing some estate style homes on the perimeter of the development in the first phase.

Regarding pre-sales appointments, Disney stated that they would begin later this year prior to the launch of initial home sales in early 2024. Now I'm sure you are thinking, "How do we secure one of these elusive pre-sales appointments to secure our spot in Cotino?" I have a source on the inside who said there will not be a lottery system to secure an appointment. This individual said that the home prices will not warrant a lottery system because the homes will be on the higher end. Now no one knows what that will look like yet, but at least that gives us an idea that it will be attainable to get a pre-sales appointment.
