The private Citrus Course is an 18-hole Pete Dye design with mature citrus trees, water hazards, bunkering, and Santa Rosa Mountain views. From the black tees, it plays 7,151 yards at par 72 with a 74.1 course rating and 132 slope. Seven sets of tees give members a wide range of playing distances.
Golf Membership includes unlimited play and practice access on the Citrus Course plus the Pete Dye Mountain and Dunes courses at La Quinta Resort, creating a 54-hole offering. An optional Desert Membership can expand access to PGA WEST, subject to current club terms and availability.
The Citrus Club offers Golf, Sport, and Social memberships to homeowners and non-homeowners. Buying a home does not automatically include a club membership, and the application, availability, privileges.
The Golf Membership dues shown above do not include the $99 monthly trail fee. Golf members may also be able to add Desert Membership access to PGA WEST for $390 per month. Sport and Social memberships provide different combinations of golf, fitness, racquet, resort, dining, and social privileges, so the lowest-cost category is not necessarily the best fit for every buyer.
HOA dues are property-specific. Current detached-home examples ranged from $421 to $577 per month, while detached-looking condominium ownership can carry a different fee and maintenance package.
Our guide to comparing La Quinta golf communities explains why club costs and HOA expenses should be evaluated separately.

• Outdoor multipurpose pool and water-fitness programming

The Citrus was developed in phases around the golf course, so homes vary in age, builder, floor plan, legal ownership structure, and degree of customization. Many residences are single-story with Spanish, Mediterranean, or desert-influenced architecture, while remodeled homes often have more contemporary interiors and outdoor spaces.
Much of the community consists of detached homes with private pools, courtyards, casitas or guest rooms, and golf-cart storage. Some residences that look and function like detached houses are legally condominiums or another form of common-interest ownership. That distinction can affect HOA dues, exterior maintenance, insurance, financing, and rental rules.
Larger custom and expanded homes appear on wider lots and prominent golf-course positions. View orientation matters: south- and west-facing settings may emphasize the Santa Rosa Mountains, while fairway and lake locations can provide a broader outlook.
Inventory is usually limited and can change quickly. Four clearly active homes were identified on July 23, 2026, while other properties were contingent or pending and were not included in the active price range.
